Master-Planned Community on Lake Lewisville Continues to Flourish
DALLAS – September 13, 2016 – American Legend Homes, a Dallas-based homebuilder, will build single-family homes in Wildridge, a master-planned community developed by Crescent Communities in partnership with Taylor Duncan Interests. Model home construction will begin in early September, and the first models are expected to be complete by Thanksgiving. Wildridge is located in Oak Point, Texas, north of Dallas on Lake Lewisville in Denton County. The community is approximately 500 acres and is expected to have about 1,194 single-family homes at completion.
American Legend Homes will offer homes ranging from 1,800 to 4,000 square feet on 50-foot and 60-foot lots, starting in the upper $200s. The floor plans provide the flexibility to tailor an American Legend Home to a family’s unique needs, with options for extra bedrooms, baths, game room, media room, outdoor living space and more. American Legend Homes joins K Hovnanian Homes, Highland Homes and MHI McGuyer Homebuilders as builders offering homes in the first phase of Wildridge.
“American Legend Homes has been building in the area for more than 10 years, so they understand the beauty of the Wildridge environment and offer an array of home plans that complement the community, while staying true to our mission of giving homeowners a place where they can ‘Live Life Real,’” said Steve Yetts, senior vice president, Crescent Communities.
Located in the “Peninsula” area on the shores of Lake Lewisville, Wildridge is situated within the rapidly expanding U.S. Hwy. 380 corridor. The community fronts on Shahan Prairie Road, directly across from Oak Point Elementary School, and is just east of FM 720 offering convenient access to I-35E via the Lake Lewisville Toll Bridge and to the Dallas North Tollway via Eldorado Parkway.
“American Legend Homes is excited to be part of this amazing community. The combination of a lakeside natural setting along with an easy drive to the North Dallas Tollway or I-35, makes Wildridge an unbeatable community to build a new home in,” said Kevin Egan, president of American Legend Homes.
The development includes a community center with a pool, pavilion, passive parks, walking trails, natural ponds and other amenities for residents to enjoy the outdoors. Exemplary-rated Oak Point Elementary, which opened in 2008 and is part of the Little Elm School District, is located directly across from the main entrance of the Wildridge community.
“I have been developing in Texas for decades and have never seen a property this unique,” said Larry Taylor, principal, Taylor Duncan. “Whether you’re a family looking for the right school district, an empty-nester or a commuter who just wants some serenity at the end of a long work day, Wildridge truly is the place to be. From gorgeous homes from builders like American Legend Homes to family-friendly amenities to the beautiful, natural environment, Wildridge offers an incredible living experience.”
